Dominic Lloyd has been at the Syracuse Academy of Self-Defense for one and a half years. When he walked through the doors, he meant all business and committed himself to learning kempo. Yet, the martial arts are not his only interests. Throughout his high school career, he played football and had supporting and starring roles in the school's drama club. He is also a fine singer, recently picked to be a member of an ensemble in the Syracuse University Chorus. This is a great honor because Dominic, a first year student, was chosen from a list of more experienced and more senior students than him and does not follow the usual protocol. This is a sign of great things to come.
I am proud of Dominic and his individual accomplishments. But, I am most proud of the respect and admiration he demonstrates for his parents, friends, and Kempo family. All SASD students and I wish him luck in his collegiate endeavors.
